Thank you all again and God Bless you all..

 NO MORE  Platelets NEEDED!

Thankfully, Fallon is no longer in critical condition. She remains on a respirator, but her condition has improved since last night. She remains in ICU and is still unable to have visitors. It was quite a scare.

Thank you to all who donated platelets so quickly and offered to do so. Fallon no longer needs platelets as of this evening, but this can change, so please keep checking in here!  Thank you all for such love and effort!

Please continue to pray.

Friday, June 18, 2004 8:01 AM

Fallon is in critical condition. She had to be put on a respirator last night. She is in ICU with her parents by her bedside. She is unable to have visitors.

For those of you who would like to help, Fallon is in great need of platelet donations. To make an appointment for a directed platelet donation, please call the NY Blood Donor Center at 1.800.439.6876 and provide the following information: patient name: Fallon O'Toole McIntyre, patient number: 74497, file number: 35666, Date of Birth: 3/3/02, Doctor's name: Dr. Jeffrey Allen, Hospital: Beth Israel North. BIN has faxed a standing order prescription for platelet donation to the NY Blood Donor Center. The Blood donor center has many locations within NY State; please ask them for the most convenient branch to your location. If anyone has any difficulty making his or her appointment, please contact Tiffany O'Toole at 914.262.2224.

Platelets have a shelf life of 5 days. The doctors believe Fallon will need blood and platelets every day for the next couple of days. Fallon currently has 3 directed units of blood in the bank, so for now, there is ample blood supply. We will let you know when that changes.

Please continue to pray.

Thursday June 17, 2004

Fallon is very ill from this round of Chemo and is in extreme need of all of our prayers right now.  We ask that you please Pray The Rosary for Fallon today and pray especially for her strength!
Learn how to Pray The Rosary or refresh your
Memory Here.

June 16, 2004

Fallie is seriously weakened by this most recent chemo treatment and continues to show the effects of it. Please pray for her as she needs strength to get through this round.

Sunday June 13, 2004

Fallon remains in the hospital as she undergoes her third round of chemotherapy. She had her G-Tube replaced in minor surgery on Thursday and recovered from that quickly. The chemo is beginning to have an effect on her today compared to the first few days so please continue to pray for her strength and health as she endures this third round.

Tuesday June 8, 2004

After a few days at home over the weekend, Fallie is back in the hospital for her third scheduled chemotherapy treatment. Please pray for her strength and that of her family as she undergoes this increasingly difficult treatment.  We ask that you pray the Rosary for Fallie this week (link on front page for "How To")

God Bless and thanks for the continued prayers and support!

Saturday June 5, 2004

Fallon was expected to have surgery today, but due to a hospital equipment problem, the surgery was postponed. Fallon continues to be nutrionally challenged and awaits surgery in hope that it solves her problems.

Until then, please pray for her strength and her ability to eat and keep the food down.

Monday May 31, 2004

Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone. As we mentioned, despite the positive news regarding Fallie's MRI results, she continues to battle infection and a dangerously low white blood cell count. She remains in the hospital and is in urgent need of everyone's prayers and positive thoughts!

We cannot express how much everyone's love and support helps all of us battle with Fallie. Please keep storming Heaven for Fallie's recovery and enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend!

Thursday, May 27, 2004 5:49 PM

Proof that the Power of Prayer is powerful and all of your prayers are being heard!  We received wonderful news today after Fallon's first MRI since the 2 chemo treatments!

The doctors at BI told Lizzy and Lou that it appears that 90% of the tumor has been eradicated, and there are virtually no traces surrounding the spinal column!

We all remain cautiously optimistic as things can change quickly in these cases - but as you can imagine, we are extremely pleased with this first MRI report and the positive development!

Fallie, however, is not close to out of the woods as she is racked with fever today and is still battling the effects of the chemo at the hospital. There appears to be an infection somewhere in her body and they are working on treating that as we speak.

PLEASE CONTINUE YOUR PRAYERS - especially the Rosary -  as they are clearly being heard - and there is still a long road ahead. Thank you all for your love and support!!!

Fallon's Blood supply has expired - Please donate some blood if possible .. click on "Blood donation" link above for details. She only needs a few donors - Thank you in advance for your kindness!

Thursday May 27, 2004

Fallon is back in the hospital and is not doing well. She has a fever and an infection in her GTube. However, Elmo, Barney and the Teletubbies videos are keeping her as happy as she can be, and they are helping her through the healing process.

Please continue to keep Fallon in your prayers.

Wednesday, May 26, 2004

Unfortunately Fallon has not had a good past couple of days. Her system can not handle water or any type of nutrients and she is going to have to be readmitted to the hospital today. She is very uncomfortable and very sad.

Please pray for Fallies strength and courage during this difficult time.

We will update the hospital information
when we have it.

Sunday May 23, 2004

Fallie helped celebrate her cousin Tate's Confirmation briefly today. She is still weak and feeling the effects of the chemotherapy of last week. Please continue to loft your prayers - they are being heard. Also, if you can find a moment to say a Rosary for Fallie it would be appreciated. Click here to refresh your memory or to
learn how to say the Rosary.

Saturday May 22, 2004

After a couple of days back in the hospital, Fallon is back home today. She had a real tough couple of day with the intravenous Chemotherapy she underwent, vomiting and intestinal issues, but continues to fight with all her sweet yet tough will. Hoping that being home again will lend to the healing spirit.

Friday, May 21, 2004 6:53 AM CDT

Fallon was admitted back to Beth Israel North last night. She was not happy to be there and unfortunately had a difficult evening and was sick most of the night. Her treatment continues today and the doctor’s expect Fallon to need a blood transfusion and possibly platelets as early as tomorrow. We are unsure if the there is still marked blood stored and readily available for Fallon at BIS and we will be inquiring today. If anyone is interested in donating blood or platelets for Fallon, please contact Beth Israel South. The telephone number to schedule an appointment is 212-420-2824. The address is 317 East 17th Street, 3rd floor (it is just east of 2nd Ave). Appointments can be made between the hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm M-F. When Making an appointment please be sure to give Fallon's full name and her birth date of March 3, 2002. If you have any problems doing so, please call Tiffany O'Toole on her cell phone at 914.262.2224. BIS does not draw platelets and they will provide information where collection can take place in NYC.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

Tuesday May 18, 2004  21:04 PM

Fallie made a trip to BI today for intravenous chemotherapy. She was a brave little girl and had a long day. She is back home and will be making a return trip to NYC Thursday for a more serious and heavier dose of chemo. This could mean she will have to spend a few days to a week back in the hospital as she recovers. Please send extra prayers for her comfort and strength during this particularly difficult period of her treatment.

Monday, May 17, 2004

Fallon continues her Chemotherapy regimen, but that does not seem to be dampening her spirits when she is with her family. She is such a tough cookie that it is hard to look in her eyes and believe she is the least bit ill.  She wants to get out and run around, but is unable to do so with any stability. However, that is not stopping her from trying and moving around with assistance from her family - she is a fighter!  Thanks for your kind words and prayers... Please Keep them coming!

Friday, May 14, 2004 9:26 PM

Although she is making the trek back to NYC every other day for check ups, we are so happy to say that Fallon is still home! She is on her fifth day of her second round of chemo and she looks great. She had a special visit from her uncle Eric and cousin Lagen from California and she was very happy to see them.

We pray for Fallon’s strength and ability to fight this disease.
We thank you for your continued prayers and support. Your words of comfort are of great solace to us all.

Tuesday, May 11, 2004

Fallon took a trip back to BI North today and has begun her second round of chemotherapy. She is back home tonight with her family and despite all she has endured, the doctors stated she looked "terrific" - and her mom could not agree more. She is a tough little angel and she is doing great given the circumstances. She will have to travel back to BI North every Tuesday for blood work and check-ups, but please continue your wonderful prayers and hope that she can remain at home during this round of chemo at the very least!  Keep the prayers coming as they are being heard so far.. but much more is needed... Thank you everyone for sending all the love our way.. Fallon and all of the family feel it!!!

Monday, May 10, 2004 8:54 AM

Fallon was able to wish her mother, her grandmother's and her aunts a very Happy Mother's Day from home yesterday! Unfortunately Fallie is not eating and is having some difficulties with her feeding tube. She may need to return to the hospital sooner than we anticipated. Lizanne will be bringing Fallie back to the doctor's at Beth Israel today for their opinion. Let us hope and pray that she will not have to be readmitted this soon.

Sunday, May 9, 2004 7:32 AM

Happy Mothers Day to all! Fallon has had a great couple of days at home. Even though the poking and prodding continues there- the old saying is true-there is no place like home. Fallon has enjoyed the company of her sisters and the comforts of home. She has taken advantage of the great weather by playing with bubbles in her yard and by going for short walks in the neighborhood.

Her voice may be gone, but her eyes and her smile speak a thousand words. She can't say it, but we know she is so happy to be home.

Let's hope that Fallon's counts remain high enough so her stay can be extended!

Thanks for the prayers!

Friday, May 7, 2004 6:07 AM CDT

Sorry for the lack updates the past two days- but we have had lots of excitement. Fallon is home! The doctors allowed Fallon to come home for a few days before her next round of treatment next week. She is delighted to be home and it is wonderful to see her there. After a month in the hospital, everyone is relieved to have a break-even if very brief - at home.

Due to her compromised immune system and the recently inserted feeding tube in Fallon’s tummy, the doctors have strongly advised that Fallon, even while at home, continue to have no visitors.

We are so grateful for everyone’s love and support. Please continue to keep Fallon in your prayers – she is an amazing little child who is being carried by them.

Tuesday, May 4, 2004 2:10 PM

The doctor's so far are pleased with the results of yesterday's stem cell process. They were hoping for two bags worth and they collected four. Although Fallon seems to be reacting well to her feeding tube, it is currently leaking and they have placed on her an antibiotic to fight a potential infection. For the first time in weeks, she enjoyed some salt and pepper Kettle potato chips today and it was a delight to see her eat and enjoy something!

Fallon is preparing for her next round of chemo, which begins next week.

Please continue to keep Fallie in your prayers.

Monday, May 3, 2004 5:45 AM

Today Fallie is scheduled for her stem cell harvest. Let us hope her little system can handle the process and that the technicians are able to draw enough of what they need in the least amount of time. Here's to a successful and good day for Fallie!

Fallon had her first G-Tube feeding Saturday, and it went well. Fallie's music therapist from BIN, Yelena paid a very special visit to Fallon on Saturday She was soo happy to hear Yelena's voice and Yelena brought her adorable fake flowers! Fallon loved them! All in all, Fallon seemed to have a good day. She was smiling and laughing accompanied by her Aunt Dory, Uncle Brendan and Lizanne.

Sunday May 2, 2004

Unfortunately Fallie did not have a such a good Sunday evening. She vomited a lot and was uncomfortable. Lizanne is doing the night shift and is taking good care of Our angel Fallie. We are so grateful for all of your prayers.

Saturday, May 1, 2004 7:14 AM

Fallon’s surgery went well. Today and Sunday
will be her recovery days. She is receiving
NUPAGEN today and tomorrow to restore her
white blood cell count. Monday she is scheduled
to begin her stem cell harvest.

Apart from the support and prayer of family
and friends, thank goodness for the Barney,
Boo-Bah and Teletubbie videos. They are
keeping Fallon entertained and comforted
as she recovers and receives her treatments.

Let’s hope all goes well over the weekend for
Fallon. Thanks for your continued prayers.

Friday, April 30, 2004 10:57 PM

Today Fallon had two procedures: a G-Tube
put in, and A BROVIAK to replace her
MEDPORT. She is currently at NYU, and
due to their strict policy she is not allowed
any visitors.  Please keep praying for Louis, Lizanne, Aidan, Tanner and our angel Fallie.

Thursday, April 29, 2004 6:29 AM

Yesterday Fallon received a visit from her two sisters.
She was so excited to see them. Today Fallon is expected
to make the trip to NYU. She is scheduled for a BROVIAK
and the GTube surgery tomorrow. The BROVIAK will replace
the failing MEDPORT, it is critical for Fallie's receipt of her treatment, blood transfusions, and IV's. The GTube will allow Fallon receive nutrition and her medicines abdominally. It is expected to aid in the decrease of her vomiting.

When we have her new room information, we will update the sites. It is our understanding NYU is more stringent with their visitation policy.

Wednesday, April 28, 2004 11:04 pm

Fallon had a better day today. Her counts were up and her spirits were lifted by a visit from both of her sisters. She was animated and clearly happy to see her two other beautiful sisters. We are hoping that she stays strong and perhaps will be able to make the trip to NYU tomorrow for her scheduled surgeries.

Tuesday April 27, 2004  7:53 am

As people who have experienced cancer know, each day has to be taken day-by-day and moment-by-moment. Today we are praying that Fallon's blood cell count be high enough for her to be transported to NYU Hospital for her upcoming procedures. Fallon is scheduled for surgery tomorrow for a G-Tube (an abdominal feeding tube) insertion and then a replacement of her current MEDPORT (the device that allows her to receive her IV's, transfusions and Chemo).  If all goes well, Fallon will remain at NYU for the initial phase of her stem cell harvest.

She is truly an unbelievable trooper. Her pain is insufferable and yet she is still so kind and gentle.  Please keep praying for Fallie.

We will provide you with the new hospital information once we have it. Again, we cannot thank everyone enough for your continued love and prayers.

April 26, 2004

Fallon continues to have spiking temps and problems with her med port. She may have to undergo another surgery to replace the troubled med port. As of yesterday, Fallon has opted for the "kojak" look, as her remaining hair was interfering with newly developed and painful head sores.

Despite this all, Fallon remains her sweet and loving self. She is a trooper. Her little body may be having difficulty combating this horrific ailment, but she is not allowing this disease to erode her angelic spirit.

Thank you for your continued prayers. They are carrying us and especially Fallie, during this difficult time.

God Bless.

Saturday April 24, 2004

Fallon is uncomfortable and restless despite the pain medication. She is so sweet. Ater the nurse who was applying numbing medication for an IV Fallie would need inserted later today was finished, Fallie said "Yay, Yay" when it was over. She is amazing and beautiful!

 Friday April 23, 2004
These past few days have been tough for poor little Fallon. She is uncomfortable, not feeling well and frightened. Please pray for her comfort and her continued courage.

She continues to have a fever and her immune system remains compromised. She is receiving a very potent medication to restore her white blood cell generation and we are hoping it will be successful. She remains unable to have visitors.

We are in the process of printing the guestbook pages of this site for Lizanne and Lou to read to share with Fallon.

God Bless.

Thursday, April 22, 2004 9:19 AM

Today Fallon is running a temperature, she has developed mouth sores and her white blood cell count is 0. All of this is par for the course with her disease and it's treatment.

She is in need of much prayer for strength and courage today.

Due to her compromised immune system, she is unable to have visitors outside of her immediate family. When this staus changes, we will be sure to let you all know.

Thank you for your continued support.

April 21, 2004
- Due to Fallon's recent treatment and it's effects on her immune system, she will be unable to see any visitors at the hospital until she is stronger. We will let you know when she can see visitors again. Thank you for all your prayers and support - please keep them coming!

April 20-Today Fallon has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. Her white blood count was below one today and so she received her first blood transfusion. As John Sullivan told us yesterday the direct number to make an appointment to donate blood for Fallon is 212.420.2824. Fallon is AB positive but O blood type can donate as well. The location is at Beth Israel South at East 17th Street between 1st and 2nd Ave. The Blood Donor Center is located on the Third Floor. There is no charge for red blood donation. We will let you know when platelet donation is necessary. Platelets only last for 5 days, so when we know we will need them we will provide the donor information. Thank you for your continued support.

April 19- Fallon is a little uncomfortable today but is hanging in there.  She is so brave and courgeous that we know she will make the best of the situation! Everyone keep praying for our angel Fallie!

April 18, 2004 -  Fallie is making the best of this awful situation. Her infectious smile and continued sweetness during this horrific experience, remind us of what a little angel she really is. We ask that you continue to keep our brave Fallie in your thoughts and prayers. She tells us all that she is "OK - I OK" and that she wants to go home. Let's hope the power of prayer makes Fallie's wish a reality for her and that she be OK and will be able to come home very soon. Please continue to review the journal in the next couple of days. Fallon will likely be in need of blood and platelets this week. Please contact Beth Israel North at 212.870.9000 for information about Blood donation at their Beth Israel South Location in NYC.

April 17, 2004 - Day Five of Chemotherapy. Fallie is hanging in there.

April 16, 2004 - Day four of Chemo for Fallie. She is fighting hard.

April 15, 2004 - Day Three of Chemo for Fallie. No real changes. She is doing very well given the circumstances

April 14, 2004 -  Day Two of Chemotherapy for Fallie. She is such a brave girl.
